Miyajidake Shrine, located on a hill overlooking the city of Fukutsu in Kyushu, is a mesmerizing sight. The shrine houses three sacred artifacts: a five-ton straw rope hung in front of the main hall, a giant bass drum, and an enormous bell. Every year during the two periods of late February and October, the sun sets in perfect alignment with the straight road leading from the entrance of the shrine to the sea, creating a golden pathway that can be admired from afar. Here visitors can enjoy a true spiritual experience while learning about the area's heritage and culture.
