Hermanus is a town on the southern coast of South Africa’s Western Cape province. The town is popular with tourists and retirees both for its marine life and stunning scenery along the rugged coastline. Visitors can take in numerous beaches, with Grotto Beach being a blue Flag beach. There’s also plenty of wildlife to explore with up to 100 varieties of birds as well as whales which often swim along the coast. A whale crier announces where they have been spotted with their kelp horn! And during the year key events like the Whale Festival give everyone a reason to come together and celebrate.
