This small detour is well worth it! The gorge is known for its stunning turquoise waters. The easy 2km (1.3 mi) loop track takes you through native rainforest, crossing two suspension bridges with amazing views of the gorge. At the time of our visit, the second suspension bridge was closed so it wasn't possible to do it as a loop. Instead, we did it as an out-and-back. It's possible to swim, but it's not recommended due to the cold temperatures and strong currents.
