For the most incredible 360-degree views of Cape Town, the Atlantic coast, and Table Mountain, you have to hike Lion's Head. While the first few kilometers are fairly easy, the last section is more rocky and challenging. For the more experienced hikers, you can take a series of ladders and chains to the top. However, this section can be bypassed to the left if too difficult and you only have to take one ladder if you choose that option.

Trail stats:

  • Length: 4 km (2.5 miles)

  • Elevation gain: 330 meters (1,082 miles)
