The Alex Knob Track is a challenging day hike that offers the best views of Franz Josef Glacier without needing a helicopter ride.

We ONLY suggest doing this hike if:

• it's a perfectly clear day

• you're not planning on doing a helicopter ride but still want to get a glimpse of Franz Josef glacier

• you like a physical challenge

Be prepared with proper gear, including hiking boots, warm clothing, and plenty of water.
