West Coast National Park basically covers the entire Lagoon area and is especially great for birdwatching. You can take easy walks along the beaches, spot ostriches and tortoises roaming freely, or drive up to bird hides or viewpoints. The best time to visit is in spring, from August to September, as that's when the landscape turns into an incredible carpet of wildflowers.
