Popular spot for self-contained camping, especially for travelers catching the nearby ferry. The large car park fills up quickly, so it's best to arrive early. You can also easily walk along the water to the city center from here (takes about an hour) or take a bus or Uber to Wellington. We didn't get a spot on our first night so decided to do roadside freedom camping (which is allowed). The morning after we drove to this parking and got a spot right away.
