Beautiful maritime museum complex, right where the first European explorers landed. You can feel the history as you wander through the lush grounds, home to the famous 500-year-old Post Office Tree. The real highlight is the life-sized replica of the caravel that Bartolomeu Dias sailed.

The grounds are also home to an ethno-botanical garden and a large shell museum and aquarium.

Standard entrance fees are approximately R30 for adults, R20 for students and pensioners, and R10 for scholars, though some specific packages for full tours including the caravel may range between R40 and R75.
