After a 20 to 30-minute walk downstream from the Sanddrif campsite, you'll discover a deep, refreshing swimming hole fed by a beautiful waterfall. The smooth sandstone cliffs surrounding the pool offer fantastic spots for sunbathing and cliff jumps from various heights. It's the perfect spot to cool down and relax for a few hours after exploring the area's hiking trails, just be sure to pack in everything you need as there are no facilities.

Note: you have to pay a fee to access the Maalgat rock pool at Sanddrif Holiday Resort. A permit is required, which is obtained at the Dwarsrivier farm office, and costs roughly R60-R80 per person.
