Where water bursts directly out of the side of a sheer volcanic cliff face. To get there, you'll need to purchase a $10 permit in the nearby town of Kawerau to access the forestry roads. Once you reach the car park, it's a lovely and easy 20-minute walk through lush native bush, following the crystal-clear river upstream to the spectacular viewing area at the base of the falls.
