Historic kura building

消息来自 Empty Japan

Originally part of a sake brewery from the Meiji (1888) and Taisho (1923) eras, this traditional kura-style (traditional storehouse in Japan) building was later refurbished and relocated to its current spot. Today, the main building is a symbol of Nakamachi Street and is used as a rental space for exhibitions, tea ceremony lessons, flower arrangement classes, and other cultural events. There's also a small tearoom and café next door.

Admission is free, and you're welcome to step inside and look around. When I visited, there weren’t any exhibitions on display, but the building itself was beautifully preserved and well worth checking out.
