Sandcut Beach Waterfall is a stunning spot, especially in the evening light. The falls are about 500 meters to the left once you reach the beach after following the short forested trail from the parking area.

Timing is everything here. The waterfall depends on the flow from Rockbottom Creek and merging McManus Creek, which means its strength varies throughout the year. The fall's base constantly changes as it pours directly onto a pebble beach that shifts with the tides and winter storms. Each visit looks slightly different—sometimes logs and debris collect at the base, or the pebbles cover parts of the waterfall’s lower section.

The waterfall splits into three different flows, offering plenty of unique angles to explore, including views from behind the falls. The best time to visit is usually late autumn to early spring when water levels are higher. Sunset brings the most beautiful light, but the sun sets too far north later in the year to cast that warm glow directly on the falls.

No two visits to Sandcut Beach Waterfall are ever the same, making it a fascinating spot to return to time and time again.
