For some of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the area, head up to the Esclusham Mountain Viewpoint. From here, the vast, heather-clad moorland opens up, offering stunning vistas that can stretch as far as Snowdonia on a clear day. While you can simply soak in the scenery from near the road, a network of trails invites you to explore further; a popular circular walk of about 6km takes you through the rugged landscape, past remnants of old lead mines that hint at the area's rich industrial past. It's a fantastic spot for a bracing walk and to feel on top of the world.
