Slieve League, located in County Donegal, Ireland, boasts some of the highest marine cliffs in Europe. The cliffs stand nearly 3x taller than the Cliffs of Moher, but given their remoteness are much less visited.
I consider this one of my favorite hidden gems to check out in Ireland. When heading out to the cliffs, be sure to check out nearby Assaranca Waterfall. Try to time your visit to arrive during sunset on a clear evening, the views are out of this world.
The primary car park will require about 1 mile of walking to reach the Slieve League observation deck. There is a closer parking lot that's available for guests with mobility issues. You can also access the closer car park (if you do not have mobility issues) but arriving late in the evening after their official operating hours which vary by season.
Just be sure to shut the gate behind you so the sheep can't get out!
