Kalsoy is a long, narrow island full of dramatic cliffs and raw Faroese beauty. You’ll get there with a 20-minute ferry ride from Klaksvík, and once on the island, there’s plenty to explore.
The main highlight is the hike to Kallur Lighthouse. It’s moderately challenging, about an hour each way, with a steep start, but the cliffside views are absolutely worth it. Along the way, you’ll also spot the famous James Bond tombstone, marking a filming location.
Before leaving, stop in Mikladalur to see the striking Seal Woman statue by the shore — a perfect little detour on your Kalsoy adventure.
