The Northern Lights in Iceland are on many visitor's bucket lists and I don't blame them. I still stop in my tracks whenever I see them dancing in the sky. The catch is that you must visit Iceland during winter to have a chance to see them, and even then it is not guaranteed that you will experience them.

At the Northern Lights center in Reykjavík, you can learn about the mythology and science behind the aurora borealis, there is a calming northern lights theater where you can watch footage of the natural phenomenon, learn how to take proper photographs of the lights, and even take photos of you with the northern lights in the background.

At the very end, they have VR googles that you can put on and they make you feel like you are out in nature watching a northern lights show.

Whether it's summer or winter, this center allows for you to see and learn about the Northern Lights in a warm environment.
