Reykholt was once the home of Iceland's most famous author and historian, Snorri Sturluson. Snorri was an influential figure in Icelandic literature and wrote some of the country's most famous sagas, including "Egils Saga" and "Heimskringla."

During a visit to this tiny village, you can learn more about Snorri's life and work by visiting the Snorrastofa Cultural and Medieval Centre, which is dedicated to preserving and promoting Snorri's legacy. The center offers exhibitions, lectures, and other activities that explore Snorri's life and work and the medieval history of Iceland.

Aside from its cultural significance, Reykholt is also a beautiful place to visit, with stunning natural scenery and charming architecture. The village is surrounded by rolling hills, lush green forests, and rugged lava formations, providing you with breathtaking views of the natural surroundings.

I recommend stopping by Snorri’s famous personal pool. It was said that the turf house outside of the hot pool was a tunnel that Snorri used to travel from his house to his relaxation spot.

Please note that it is not allowed to bathe in the pool.
