Chiesa di Santa Maria in Portico in Campitelli is a centuries-old Baroque-style Catholic church located on the tiny Piazza di Campitelli in Rome, Italy. Legend has it that the church was built to commemorate a miraculous appearance of an icon of the Virgin Mary and other Saints, which was believed to have stopped an epidemic of plague in 1656. Built between 1659 and 1667.

Rome has many churches and it's probably impossible to see them all. The church of Santa Maria in Portico in Campitelli certainly deserves a visit.
