The Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hasan is a massive and impressive historic monument located in Cairo, Egypt. Built between 1356 and 1363 during the Bahri Mamluk period, it was commissioned by Sultan an-Nasir Hasan. The mosque's construction faced challenges due to the Black Plague but continued without pause for three years. Its innovative design and size make it one of Cairo's most remarkable landmarks. Over the years, the mosque has been used as a fortified position and faced demolition attempts, but it still stands tall today, showcasing its grandeur and historical significance.
