We’ve swum under a lot of waterfalls in the Philippines, and Cambugahay was easily one of the most impressive… and busiest!
The falls themselves are gorgeous, with turquoise pools and even a cave tucked under one of the cascades.
But be ready for queues at the rope swings and extra charges for little things inside.
WHAT TO EXPECT
5–10 min walk from the carpark, fairly easy path.
Crowds are the norm, avoid weekends and holidays.
Rope swings and bamboo rafts cost extra on top of the entry.
There’s a small cave under one of the falls worth checking out.
Good for swimming, but don’t expect a peaceful dip.
TO ACCESS
About 20–30 min from Siquijor town on a scooter.
Entry fee was ₱30 per person when we visited.
Opens around 8:15am, getting there right on opening is your best shot at quiet.
Easy to add to a day trip around the island with other waterfalls or cliff jumps.
