Emperor Falls represents the most dramatic cascade along the Berg Lake Trail, with water plummeting nearly 46 meters (150 feet) down a near-vertical cliff face. The thunderous roar and constant mist create a primeval atmosphere that captivates hikers. Located approximately 16 km from the trailhead, reaching Emperor Falls requires commitment but rewards with an unforgettable natural spectacle.

A short spur trail lets you approach close enough to feel the powerful spray on your face. It is best experienced from July through September, when water flow is optimal and the trail conditions are most favorable. Early to mid-July offers the most dramatic water volume as summer melt feeds the falls. The falls are around 17km from the trailhead, so it's a VERY big day hike. It's largely visited by backpackers on the Berg Lake Trail.
