Yxingåfallet is a beautiful, lesser-known waterfall just outside Särna. The last part of the drive to the trailhead is over a gravel road. It’s best to park at the spot I’ve indicated in the trail description. You can drive 1 km further, but the road is in very bad condition with big rocks and potholes you simply can’t avoid. Unless you have a very high-clearance car or a 4x4, don’t continue and park at the safer spot.
The hike to the waterfall takes about 1 hour one way. The trail is well marked most of the time, but there’s an unmarked split near the end. Make sure to follow the trail description I’ve added in the facts below to stay on the right path.
Once you reach the falls, you’re welcomed by the sound of rushing water and a wild forest around you.
