When you visit the Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve Visitor Center in southern Arizona, expect a small, friendly Nature Conservancy-run hub where you can pick up trail maps, ask about current birding and creek conditions, and use basic restrooms before heading onto easy creekside walks through cottonwood and sycamore riparian habitat that attract migrants and wintering birds. There is no café, so bring water, sun protection, and sturdy shoes, parking is informal and can get muddy after rain, and some trails may limit dogs so leash up and check rules at the desk; nearby Patagonia has places to eat and resupply if you need them.
