Poulnabrone Dolmen, located in County Clare, is a famous Neolithic portal tomb dating back to around 3500 BC. An incredibly historic spot - older than Stonehenge and the pyramids of Giza! It consists of three standing stones supporting a heavy capstone and was likely used for burials and rituals by ancient farmers. Excavations in the 1980s revealed human remains, pottery, and artifacts buried underneath the dolmen, shedding light on the lives of the people who lived there over 5,000 years ago. Today, it remains a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors to marvel at its ancient stone structure and the mysteries it holds.
