Message from Bloomin' Heather

Samson and Goliath are two massive shipbuilding gantry cranes in Belfast, Northern Ireland. These guys dominate the skyline and are named after the biblical figures Samson and Goliath. Goliath was put up in 1969, standing at 96 meters tall, while Samson came along in 1974, a bit taller at 106 meters. Together, they can lift almost 1,700 tonnes, making them some of the biggest cranes in the world. Despite their impressive lifting power, these giants were almost taken down but were saved as historic monuments. So, if you're ever in Belfast, don't forget to look up and say hi to Samson and Goliath!
