Dunguaire Castle, located on the shores of beautiful Galway Bay, is a restored 16th-century tower house that offers a glimpse into Ireland's literary revival. Built in 1520 by the O’Hynes clan, this picturesque castle has a rich history of sieges and warring clans. This is one of the most photographed castles in all of Ireland. It is currently closed for tours, but you are able to stop and wander the grounds for photos.
