Tawhai Falls, or as it’s known to Lord of the Rings fans, Gollum’s Pool, is a spot that checks all the boxes if you’re into beautiful waterfalls and Middle-Earth. The water here has this stunning turquoise colour, and it cascades down a 13-meter drop, creating a pretty magical scene. The walk to the falls is super easy, just 800 meters return, so it’s short, flat, and perfect for a quick adventure.
