This waterfall is so vibrant and beautiful. It's definitely a great spot to visit along your Coromandel adventures. Waiau Falls is a 6-meter waterfall tucked away in the forest along The 309 Road and is super easy to access, with just a short 50-meter walk from the roadside car park.
The pool at the base of the falls is a popular swimming spot, but be prepared the water is seriously chilly. Even if you're not up for a swim, it's a beautiful place to take a break, especially if you're already driving this route.

Just be warned that the route along  309 Road is a winding gravel road. Drive carefully, especially after rain, as the road can get slippery.
