If you’re after a little adventure, the Mercer Bay Loop Walk is totally worth the trek! This trail serves up some seriously stunning coastal views and lets you dive into New Zealand’s natural beauty. Just a heads up this is a popular walk, so it’s best to get there early, depending on the day you visit as the carpark gets full quickly.
You can tackle the loop in either direction, but both have their steep sections, so take your pick! There are plenty of viewpoints along the way, so keep your camera handy to capture those epic shots. The trail is 2.1 kilometres and should take you about an hour to complete.
Make sure to soak in all the native flora and fauna while you’re out there, and keep your eyes peeled for the historic Māori pā site and an old radio station, it’s like a mini history lesson wrapped in a nature adventure!
