If you're after a short, rewarding walk with stunning views, Mount Paku Summit is the spot. From the car park on Paku Road, head through a grassy field and up towards the house to begin the 1 km return trail to the summit. The first part of the walk is all stairs, then it shifts into a bushy section before you reach a small rock scramble at the very end (pictures 2 and 3 show the trail). But don’t worry, the climb is pretty chill with handrails and steps, making it accessible for most folks. Once you reach the top, you’ll be treated to sweeping views over the town, harbour, and the surrounding islands. It's the perfect spot to pause, catch your breath, and snap some photos.
