One of my favorite stops in the Waitomo area, this natural bridge walk is a total gem. The Mangapohue Natural Bridge is a 10-minute walk (about 500 meters, since the loop's closed, it’s an out-and-back trail) through a cool limestone gorge. The highlight is the 17-meter-high natural arch that’s super impressive, and the whole vibe feels like something straight out of a fairy tale. The rock formations are pretty unique, and it’s a peaceful spot where you can just take it all in. If you're lucky, you might even spot some wildlife in the creek, I saw a huge eel and a few fish.
