Carrer l’Empedrat in Altea is one of those streets I love wandering down, especially when the light softens in the late afternoon. The name says it all, Empedrat means “paved with stone” and every step gives you a little more of Altea’s character: narrow stone stairs, white-washed walls, ornate balconies, small shops inside ancient doors.
