Herbert Lake is a first lake that you can see on the Icefields Parkway if you're driving from Banff. It's beautiful, but not the most popular stop simply because there are even more stunning lakes further along the route.

However, it's a great spot for swimming as its water tends to be warmer than most other lakes in the area. So if you want to go for a dip along the Icefields Parkway, this is your spot!
