Himurehachimangu Shrine is a historical shrine known as the guardian god of the Omi region and has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Legend has it that the shrine was established in A.D. 131 by Emperor Seimu and over the years, the shrine has been revered by the Imperial Household and the Shogun families.
