A temple known for its beautifully maintained gardens, moss-covered grounds, and peaceful atmosphere. The walking paths wind through cedar trees, seasonal flowers, and small landscaped areas that feel especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and gold.
Compared to some of Matsushima’s busier attractions, the grounds feel much calmer and are a great place to slow down for a while.
