Founded in 1893, this quiet craft shop near Zenkoji Temple offers a beautiful selection of handmade items and folk crafts from all over Japan. The owner is incredibly kind, and the shop has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. I ended up spending almost an hour here and even brought home an awesome tanuki statue made in Hyogo Prefecture. Honestly, I’m a little afraid to go back - because I’ll probably end up buying something again.

There’s also a second floor with more items - just look for the stairs in the furthest left corner of the shop.
