This restaurant is located at the Shiso farm. Shiso is a herb used in many Japanese dishes such as sushi, salads, tempura, noodles, and even ice cream! It has a unique taste that I would never be able to describe myself, so here is a description from some other website - "Shiso leaves have a fresh, citrusy flavor with hints of cinnamon, cloves, and mint. They have a somewhat astringent flavor and bitter finish, particularly the red shiso leaves." Personally, I just love this herb (my favorite salad dressing also has a Shiso leaf taste) 🥰

In this restaurant (as well as in many other Japanese restaurants), you can choose whether you want to order only the main dish (tanpin 単品) or a set (teishoku 定食) - usually the second one is about 350 yen more expensive. Teishoku consists of a main dish, rice, miso soup, and some pickled vegetables (tsukemono 漬物).

In this restaurant, Teishoku also includes a dessert - amazing Sakura jelly and a buffet of vegetables grown on this farm in the mountains.

IMPORTANT Info: it closes really EARLY (around 4-5 pm) and if you plan to visit all of the locations in one of the itineraries, you will not be able to make it in time. But if for some reason you will decide to skip some locations, then there is a high chance that will be able to eat here (or maybe you will be getting around by a car).
