If you want to try oyaki—stuffed dumplings that originated right here in Nagano—this is one of the best places to do it. They’re grilled right in front of you over the fire and come with a variety of fillings like seasonal vegetables, sweet bean paste, or other savory ingredients.

The dumplings are incredibly good, and the shop can get crowded later in the day, so I recommend stopping by before noon if you can. Perfect for a snack break while exploring the area.
