If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to visit in Kyoto, Jizo-in Temple is a great option. It is not as well-known and not as crowded as some of the other Temples, but it is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The Temple is surrounded by a bamboo forest. There is a small Heart Shaped window with a forest view and a small Japanese garden where you can sit and relax.

  • It might be more crowded in November during Momiji (red maples).

  • In January, the Temple is open only on weekends, national holidays, and the first three days of the year.
