Genbudo Park is a beautiful natural wonder. It consists of five spectacular basalt caves filled with naturally formed columns and honeycomb patterns that were created by volcanic activity around 1.6 million years ago. These caves have been designated a national natural monument, as well as a UNESCO Global Geopark.

This place is worth visiting only if you have a lot of spare time during your stay in Kinosaki or if you are renting a car, which makes getting here from Kinosaki so much easier.

*You cannot go inside these caves
