Empty Japan

This cozy little tea shop has been around for over 70 years and is run by one of the kindest shop owners I’ve ever met. He doesn’t speak any English, but when I asked if he’d be okay communicating with someone who doesn’t speak Japanese, he smiled and said he has a translation app ready to go—so don’t be shy about stopping in.

The shop carries a great selection of teas from all over Japan, along with matcha powder, beautiful teacups, and teapots—perfect if you’re looking for something meaningful to bring home or just want to enjoy browsing in a truly welcoming place.
