Konotori no Sato Park is an exceptional sanctuary for the endangered Oriental Stork that became extinct in Japan in 1971. Located 10 kilometers south of Kinosaki, the park is part museum and part breeding habitat where visitors can witness Japan's unique efforts to reintroduce these majestic birds into their former wild territory. At Konotori no Sato Park, there are interactive exhibits, detailed explanations regarding the park's conservation efforts, as well as plenty of opportunities to view these beautiful birds in their natural habitat.

Spotting white storks during winter, and in cold conditions in general, is quite challenging as they tend to hide in tall grass. Therefore, a visit to this park becomes highly optional.
