After passing through Mt Linton Station TA hikers may camp and stay on Birchwood Station for the night.

This area is surrounded by farmland and private property so it is important to be off Mt Linton Station before dark and only camp where specifically allowed. Birchwood Station stay is not marked on the TA app map but is located just beyond the trail around km 2,889 on the Ohai Clifden Highway. The TA app has a good set of notes explaining how to contact and get to the property - please refer to these for current contact details.

Camping is currently $20 cash per night with an honesty box system.

Note: it may be possible to get a lift along the highway to the nearby town Nightcaps to do a small resupply at Four Square.
