From the small township of Ngunguru hikers must cross the Ngunguru inlet to continue on the trail. To do so you will need to organise a boat transfer with James (a local property owner and TA supporter) and work around the tides - it is not possible to walk across this inlet. Please refer to the TA trail app for updated contact details and check availability directly in the days prior to your crossing.

The trail following the inlet crossing is on private property and must be walked in daylight hours again working with the tide times to cross the Horahora River (on foot).

It is thanks to people like James allowing access through their property that the TA is possible so please show your appreciation and respect the land you are walking on!
