Turnbull's (Big Dam) Hut is a historic hut located in the Longwood Forest. It is the last DOC hut on the TA!

I didn’t stay here as I had camped at the nearby Martins Hut the night prior but thought this place had a bit of a spooky vibe being dark and dusty inside. Camping is pretty limited here (it’s just too muddy and surrounded by thick forest) but on a wet day the hut would certainly do the trick to get dry and get out of the weather.

Make sure to sign the last hut trail intentions log book here and snap a pic before heading out of the forest.
