The Stone Store in Kerikeri is New Zealand’s oldest intact stone building and its earliest surviving warehouse built in 1832-1836. Now a public monument with a cute little cafe/bakery inside it’s a great spot to stop off for breakfast and a coffee, and to take in the history and architecture before continuing on to walk through pine forest and farmland for the day.
