Havelock, a small town in New Zealand's Marlborough Province serves as a crucial resupply point for hikers on the Te Araroa Trail. The Four Square supermarket here is not very big but offers enough of a variety of food items to get through the next sections walk in the Richmond Ranges. Being a smaller supermarket you can expect higher prices but I don’t believe it would be worth sending a resupply box to this point just for that reason, it may however be worth while if you have particular dietary requirements.

Accommodation options here vary, ranging from campgrounds to high-end lodges with most hikers opting to stay at the Havelock Holiday Park.

This is the last town for hikers before heading into a long stint through the challenging terrain of the Richmond Ranges. Check the weather and make sure you are prepared.
