Bluff is a small coastal town at the southernmost point of New Zealand and marks the end of both Te Araroa and Highway 1.

After completing the trail if you do not wish to return directly to Invercargill there is accommodation here along with cafes and restaurants by the water.

There is no public transport from Bluff to Invercargill but the road can be easily hitchhiked or alternatively a shuttle organised for pick up.
