After conquering the challenging Richmond Ranges hikers arrive at the small alpine village St Arnaud ready for a pie or ice cream from the general store.

Resupply options here are quite limited but for a hungry hiker there are at least plenty of tasty treats and take away options to get you ready for the next section of trail.

If you are continuing your walk directly on from St Arnaud I would recommend sending a resupply box to the town in advance. Alternatively like myself you can hitch to Nelson to do some more coastal sightseeing and resupply at bigger supermarkets like Woolworths or New World before returning to the trail.
