The Giant Anchor Chain Sculpture at Bluff is an artwork created by Russell Beck. It's located near Stirling Point and symbolizes the connection between mainland New Zealand and Stewart Island/Rakiura.

It’s a great photo spot and represents the mythological link between Maui's canoe (the South Island) and Rakiura (Stewart Island) which he is said to have pulled up out of the sea to be an anchor stone.
